Tralee together

JUST a quick note to let readers in Tralee know that the closing date for the housing estates and private gardens section of the tidy towns competition is July 23.

Judging on these and business premises will take place anytime after that date.

A lot of effort has been put in by Towards a Better Tralee, Tidy Towns, FÁS and Tralee Town Council in reaching for gold in this year’s tidy towns competition.

The town is looking very well at the moment and it would be great if some of the business owners could make one big last effort before judging commences.

We would also appeal to businesses in town to erect ashtrays on the walls outside their businesses as cigarette butts are a huge litter problem.

Everyone should take pride in their town. Tralee is a beautiful town and we should all do our bit to make it better.

Cllr Grace O’Donnell
Tralee Town Council
