In soccer there was Germany's Harald Schumacher with his reckless tackles, the Paraguayan Jose Luis Chilavert with his blinding jerseys and penchant for taking (and scoring) penalty kicks and free kicks, and the utterly insane Colombian Rene Higuita, who had the sheer lunacy to try that scorpion kick clearance against England at Wembley.
